Senior Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, execute, and oversee detailed test plans and strategies for intricate software applications.

• Develop, sustain, and enhance test automation frameworks.

• Perform both manual and automated testing to assess software functionality, performance, and security.

• Detect, document, and prioritize defects while collaborating with developers for resolution.

• Foster ongoing improvements in testing processes, tools, and methodologies.

• Guide junior quality engineers and advocate for best practices in testing and quality assurance.

• Examine test data, produce quality metrics, and communicate software quality to stakeholders.

• Engage in code reviews, design discussions, and product planning activities.

• Assess new testing tools, technologies, and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, specializing in manual and automated testing.

• Expertise in test automation tools and frameworks, with a preference for Karate and/or Playwright.

• Strong programming skills in C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation purposes.

• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

• Comprehensive understanding of functional, regression, performance, and security testing methodologies.

• Experience in agile development settings, with a solid grasp of agile methodologies.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

• Outstanding communication skills and capacity to collaborate with and mentor junior team members.

• Reliable high-speed internet connection of over 10 Mbps at home.

• Capability to undergo identity verification, background checks, and in-person I-9 verification.

• Potential to be subjected to drug screening prior to employment.
