QA Testing & Automation, Mid-Level/Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Strategize, design, and implement comprehensive integration and performance tests for an Automation Modernization initiative.

• Formulate testing strategies, plans, scenarios, and test cases focused on integration and performance evaluation.

• Conduct tests on integrations among applications, APIs, microservices, databases, messaging platforms, and external systems.

• Validate REST APIs, payloads, business rules, data transformations, error handling, and system interfaces.

• Assess both synchronous and asynchronous integrations, which include APIs, events, queues, and message-driven integrations.

• Execute database validations using SQL to ensure data integrity, reconciliation, transformations, and data flows.

• Design and implement performance, load, stress, endurance, scalability, and volume testing.

• Create performance scripts to simulate transactions, loads, volumes, and concurrent users.

• Monitor and evaluate response times, throughput, concurrency, resource utilization, error rates, and additional metrics.

• Identify performance bottlenecks and work alongside development and architecture teams to address issues.

• Generate test data and manage environment and data dependencies across interconnected systems.

• Document, track, analyze, and retest defects until resolution.

• Generate execution reports, defect metrics, performance summaries, and completion reports.

• Collaborate with the Test Lead, Solution Architects, developers, business analysts, Product Owners, and external partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient/fluent English is essential and will be evaluated during the interview process.

• Over 6 years of experience in software testing and Quality Engineering.

• Extensive experience in System Integration Testing (SIT) and end-to-end testing of enterprise applications.

• Strong expertise in testing REST APIs, microservices, and system integrations.

• Practical experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured, or similar tools.

• Robust experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or comparable tools.

• Experience in analyzing application performance, response times, throughput, concurrency, and system resource utilization.

• Strong SQL skills and experience validating data in Oracle databases.

• Good understanding of APIs, microservices, messaging, databases, and distributed application architectures.

• Essential skills include: System Integration Testing (SIT), End-to-End Testing, Performance Testing, Load Testing, API Testing, Postman, JMeter/LoadRunner, SQL, Oracle, and JSON.
