Senior Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the quality strategy for intricate software applications

• Take ownership of test planning, test automation frameworks, and quality indicators for release preparedness

• Develop and oversee functional, regression, performance, security, exploratory, and automated testing

• Engage in code reviews, design discussions, product planning, Agile ceremonies, and peer assessments

• Establish and maintain test automation patterns and standards

• Construct, sustain, and enhance UI and API automation frameworks

• Integrate and execute automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines

• Generate and manage test data and refine test scripts as applications progress

• Identify, analyze, document, prioritize, and escalate defects

• Evaluate test outcomes and quality data, produce metrics, and report on quality status and release readiness

• Mentor quality engineers and lead sessions for sharing technical knowledge

• Utilize and validate authorized AI-assisted tools for test design, scripting, test data, documentation, troubleshooting, defect analysis, and AI-enabled testing workflows

• Contribute reusable prompts, skills, agents, playbooks, and AI-assisted testing methodologies

• Formulate test strategies for AI-enabled functionalities in collaboration with architecture, security, and platform teams

• Adhere to policies regarding AI use, intellectual property, security, privacy, PHI management, and Responsible AI

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, including hands-on UI and API automation and manual testing

• Extensive experience in building automation frameworks using Java and Selenium WebDriver and/or TypeScript/JavaScript with Playwright

• Proficient in TestNG, JUnit, Maven, Karate, and/or Cypress

• Strong coding capabilities in Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript

• Experience in creating and maintaining automation jobs in Jenkins, GitHub Actions with YAML, or GitLab

• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git

• Proficient in SQL for the creation and maintenance of test data

• Knowledgeable in JIRA or ALM

• Comprehensive understanding of functional, regression, performance, and security testing methodologies

• Experience in Agile development environments

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a capability to mentor others

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience

• High-speed internet connection of over 10 Mbps at home

• Must undergo a thorough background check and in-person I-9 verification

• AI tools are prohibited and monitored during the interview process

• Preferred: experience with AI-assisted development/testing platforms, AI-driven testing, prompt engineering, LLMs, MCP servers, AI services/models/agents, PyTest, and in healthcare or other regulated environments dealing with PHI
