Quality Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Utilize AI tools such as Claude Code as the main development platform for creating, managing, and enhancing automated tests

• Develop and sustain automated coverage across end-to-end user flows and REST APIs

• Contribute to the end-to-end automation framework

• Collaborate with engineers and product teams to strategize test cases and coverage for new features and user stories

• Diagnose failures, examine logs, and conduct root cause analysis on issues discovered during testing or in production

• Become a subject matter authority in the product domain, encompassing business rules, user workflows, and edge cases

• Advocate for testability, meaningful coverage, and quality standards at the outset of development

• Keep abreast of AI advancements in testing and quality, sharing effective strategies with the team

• Engage in team meetings and maintain a robust presence across remote communication platforms

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code)

• Strong intuition for identifying vulnerabilities in web-based software and discerning between automation and manual validation

• Experience with browser automation using Playwright or other contemporary testing frameworks

• Background in testing RESTful web applications, both front-end and back-end

• Familiarity with API testing tools like Swagger UI

• Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript

• Working knowledge of Git and source control practices

• Capability to write and execute SQL queries

• Experience resolving test failures using stack traces and logs, and replicating bugs

• Excellent communication skills with a pragmatic and proactive approach

• 2–4 years of experience in Quality Engineering

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

• Familiarity with CI pipelines is a plus
