Senior Quality Assurance Engineer – Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain automated testing frameworks for user interface, API, and backend testing.

• Spearhead the automation strategy, prioritizing initiatives based on risk, impact, and organizational needs; establish and uphold automation standards and best practices.

• Transform manual test cases into automated solutions.

• Incorporate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Execute, monitor, and manage automated regression and smoke test suites to guarantee product stability and quality.

• Perform root cause analyses on defects and test failures.

• Prepare and present quality metrics and status reports to management.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that quality requirements are well-defined.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or a comparable combination of education and experience).

• 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong emphasis on automation.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.

• Proven experience in building automated test frameworks.

• Proficiency in coding and debugging.

• Experience in API and microservices testing.

• Familiarity with cloud-based environments, such as Azure; experience in performance testing is preferred.

• Exceptional collaboration, communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience with Postman, Playwright, and/or Thunder Client is a plus.
