Integration and Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design secure patterns for API, file transfer, event handling, and batch integration involving Power Platform, Azure, SharePoint, and external systems.

• Develop and maintain Azure Functions, Logic Apps, custom connectors, data transformation processes, and workflows for error handling.

• Implement requirements for flat-file generation, validation, partitioning, retries, exception management, and auditing.

• Work collaboratively with application teams to replace insecure legacy Java transfer components with secure and maintainable services.

• Create automated tests, set up monitoring, establish alerts, and develop support runbooks for integrations.

• Engage in security reviews that encompass authentication, encryption, secrets management, and least-privilege access protocols.

• Address the specific needs of a federal client in the role of Integration and Automation Engineer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in application integration, automation, or backend engineering.

• Practical experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, APIs, JSON, file processing, and secure authentication methodologies.

• Familiarity with message handling, error recovery, observability, and troubleshooting in production environments.

• Proficient in at least one modern programming or scripting language, including Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.

• Strong comprehension of data security principles and integration architecture.

• Experience with Power Platform custom connectors is a plus.

• Background in Azure Government or B2B/external partner integration is a bonus.

• Experience in refactoring legacy Java applications is a plus.
