Senior QA / SDET Engineer

Posted Jul 29

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Quality engineering with an automation-first approach for a platform that integrates voice, desktop, intelligence, and AI.

• We prioritize AUTOMATION — manual QA is not part of our process.

• Weekly code deployments are the core of our operations: once a QA branch is ready, regressions are executed swiftly, results are reported quickly, and the schedule remains on track.

• Work in a startup setting: 1-week sprints, rapid iteration, and continuous progress.

• Ensure automation coverage for your squad's services.

• Quick turnaround regression suites that facilitate weekly deployments.

• Swift detection and reporting processes.

• Quality feedback available in minutes, not days.

• Load and stress testing coverage tailored to your services' latency requirements.

• Adherence to your committed timelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as an SDET; proficient in writing genuine automation code (Go / Python), not just manual scripts. An automation-first mindset is a core belief, not merely a preference.

• Exceptional at isolating issues and debugging root causes — you pinpoint failures to the specific service, commit, or event; development teams appreciate your bug reports as they significantly aid in debugging.

• Strong fast regression discipline — utilizing parallelized suites and intelligent test selection to deliver results in minutes; maintaining quality at the speed of weekly deployments without becoming a bottleneck.

• Experience in high-load testing scenarios — conducting load, stress, and soak testing on high-throughput, low-latency systems; you know how to identify the knee of the curve.

• Familiarity with testing event-driven systems, WebSocket flows, and browser extensions — addressing ordering, race conditions, and real-time state challenges.

• CI-native mindset — tests integrated into trunk-based CI/CD; managing flakiness as a priority (a flaky suite is considered a broken suite).

• Conduct contract/API testing between services; generate synthetic data and traffic (simulated calls, event streams, audio) for consistent real-time testing.

• Experience in testing AI outputs — evaluation-style assertions for non-deterministic LLM/ML features are a significant advantage.

🏝️ Benefits

• TTEC has received the Great Place To Work 2024-2025 certification, recognizing exceptional employee experiences across 14 countries.

• Health insurance

• Retirement plans

• Paid time off

• Flexible work arrangements

• Professional development opportunities

• Remote work options
