Senior Python Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and REST APIs utilizing Python.

• Create scalable solutions for processing, integrating, and transforming extensive datasets.

• Contribute to cloud-native architecture, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.

• Collaborate with engineers on system design, data modeling, and enhancements to the platform.

• Enhance software quality through code reviews, automated testing, and mentoring junior developers.

• Construct and advance a proprietary data platform for processing significant volumes of cybersecurity data.

• Facilitate scalable data ingestion, high-performance APIs, and event-driven data processing for cyber-risk management products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in Python development.

• Extensive experience in building backend applications and REST APIs.

• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with PostgreSQL or other relational database systems.

• Practical experience with AWS and/or Azure, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience in developing data-intensive applications or managing large-scale data processing.

• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, testing methodologies, and clean coding principles.

• Experience with Databricks or contemporary data platforms.

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and distributed systems.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform).

• Proficient in Linux-based development environments.
