Senior Python Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain backend services and REST APIs utilizing Python.

• Create scalable solutions for processing, integrating, and transforming extensive datasets.

• Contribute to cloud-native architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.

• Collaborate with engineers on system design, data modeling, and platform enhancements.

• Enhance software quality through code reviews, automated testing, and mentoring junior developers.

• Work on solutions that assist in identifying and mitigating cyber risk for a prominent UK-based insurance firm.

• Develop and advance a proprietary data platform that processes significant amounts of cybersecurity data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of commercial experience in Python development.

• Extensive experience in building backend applications and REST APIs.

• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.

• Practical experience with AWS and/or Azure, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience in developing data-intensive applications or managing large-scale data processing.

• Strong grasp of software engineering best practices, testing, and clean code principles.

• Familiarity with Databricks or contemporary data platforms.

• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and distributed systems.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform).

• Proficient in Linux-based development environments.
