Senior Python Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and REST APIs utilizing Python.

• Create scalable solutions for processing, integrating, and transforming extensive datasets.

• Contribute to the development of cloud-native architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.

• Collaborate with engineers on system design, data modeling, and enhancements to the platform.

• Enhance software quality through code reviews, automated testing, and mentoring junior developers.

• Work on a proprietary data platform for a prominent UK-based insurance firm that handles substantial volumes of cybersecurity data.

• Support scalable data ingestion, high-performance APIs, and event-driven data processing for products that assist customers in managing cyber threats.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of commercial experience in Python development.

• Extensive experience in building backend applications and REST APIs.

• Strong understanding of SQL and experience with PostgreSQL or other relational database systems.

• Practical experience with AWS and/or Azure, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Background in building data-intensive applications or handling large-scale data processing.

• Comprehensive understanding of software engineering best practices, testing, and principles of clean code.

• Experience with Databricks or contemporary data platforms.

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and distributed systems.

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform.

• Comfortable operating in Linux-based development environments.
