Senior Python Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and maintain backend services and REST APIs utilizing Python.

• Develop scalable solutions for the ingestion, processing, and transformation of large datasets.

• Collaborate with Microsoft Azure, encompassing containerized workloads, batch processing, PostgreSQL, and event-driven architectures.

• Contribute to cloud-native architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.

• Utilize Databricks and contemporary data processing methodologies.

• Partner with engineers on system design, data modeling, and platform enhancements.

• Enhance software quality through code reviews, automated testing, and mentoring junior developers.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity, expedite problem-solving, and assist in coding, testing, and technical analysis.

• Develop and refine a proprietary data platform that ingests and processes vulnerability intelligence data to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate cyber risk.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Python development, with a strong emphasis on backend engineering.

• Extensive experience in building backend applications and REST APIs.

• Solid understanding of SQL and experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.

• Practical experience with AWS and/or Azure, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience in developing data-intensive applications, data pipelines, or solutions that process large datasets.

• Strong grasp of software engineering best practices, testing methodologies, and clean code principles.

• Experience with Databricks or other contemporary data platforms.

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures, asynchronous processing, and distributed systems.

• Hands-on experience with Azure services such as Azure Container Apps or Batch Processing.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform.

• Proficiency with Azure DevOps and deployment automation.

• Practical experience using AI-assisted software development tools.
