Senior Python Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Design and develop essential backend systems, such as a background-task worker, a Flask API adhering to the JSON-API specification, and an Agent that communicates with the server.

• Take full ownership of features, guiding them from concept to production.

• Identify and address bottlenecks and performance issues.

• Provide customer support and engage in troubleshooting activities.

• Build the remote state and operations backend for Terraform/OpenTofu.

• Create APIs for the Infrastructure as Code platform.

• Integrate third-party services, including version control systems (VCS), online payment solutions, and cloud computing platforms.

• Apply best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.

• Participate in code reviews to encourage collaboration and continuous improvement.

• Investigate third-party service APIs, Terraform functionality, and internal service architecture.

• Update and modernize outdated methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical, product-centric experience managing backend systems in a production environment, from design through deployment and continuous optimization using Python.

• Proficiency in concurrency and parallelism, including threading, multiprocessing, gevent, or asyncio.

• Experience in backend web development.

• Understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.

• Skills in relational database design and query optimization.

• DevOps experience with tools like Terraform, Chef, Ansible, SaltStack, or similar is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Linux systems is beneficial.

• Knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, sockets, and HTTP/HTTPS, is a plus.

• Experience with Go is an asset.

• Full-stack web development experience with ReactJS is a plus.
