Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer – Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Manage comprehensive data extraction processes across intricate websites.

• Ensure thorough coverage, precision, and dependable delivery of structured datasets.

• Utilize tools and custom workflows to expedite data collection, verification, and task execution.

• Extract data consistently from dynamic and interactive web sources, including content rendered by JavaScript.

• Adjust scraping techniques in response to evolving site behaviors.

• Implement data quality standards through validation checks, cross-source consistency controls, formatting adherence, and systematic verification.

• Scale scraping operations for extensive datasets by employing efficient batching or parallel processing.

• Monitor failures and sustain stability amidst minor changes in site structure.

• Leverage technical expertise and tools such as Apify, OpenRouter, and related technologies in Tendem project workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5+ years of pertinent experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development.

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or similar technical fields is advantageous.

• A strong technical foundation and hands-on experience with scripting, automation, and data extraction workflows.

• Significant experience in Python web scraping, including tools like BeautifulSoup, Selenium, or similar, along with handling dynamic content (JS, AJAX, infinite scroll) and APIs via proxies.

• Proven capability to extract data from complex structures, including hierarchies, archived pages, and inconsistent HTML.

• A solid background in data cleaning, normalization, and validation, providing structured datasets in formats such as CSV, JSON, or Google Sheets.

• Demonstrated experience in managing anti-bot mechanisms and dynamic site structures at scale.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure like AWS or equivalent, and experience with Docker containerization in practical workflows.

• Practical experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, OpenRouter, or similar applied to automation tasks.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy.

• A self-directed work ethic and the ability to troubleshoot independently.

• Proficiency in English at an Upper-intermediate (B2) level or higher.

• A GitHub link is considered a plus.
