Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer – Freelance

• Take ownership of comprehensive data extraction processes across intricate websites.

• Guarantee extensive coverage, precision, and dependable delivery of structured datasets.

• Utilize tools and tailored workflows to enhance data collection, validation, and task execution efficiency.

• Accurately extract data from dynamic and interactive web platforms, adapting to JavaScript-rendered content and evolving site behaviors.

• Maintain data integrity through validation checks, cross-source consistency controls, formatting specifications, and systematic verification.

• Scale scraping operations for large datasets by implementing efficient batching or parallelization techniques.

• Monitor failures and ensure stability in response to minor changes in site structure.

• Employ tools such as Apify, OpenRouter, and other technologies for effective web extraction and processing.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development.

• A strong technical foundation and practical expertise in scripting, automation, and data extraction workflows.

• Significant experience in Python web scraping, including proficiency with BeautifulSoup, Selenium or similar tools, dynamic content (JS, AJAX, infinite scroll), and APIs via proxies.

• Demonstrated ability to extract data from complex structures, such as hierarchies, archived pages, and inconsistent HTML.

• A solid background in data cleaning, normalization, and validation, ensuring delivery of structured datasets in formats like CSV, JSON, or Google Sheets.

• Proven experience in managing anti-bot mechanisms and dynamic site structures at scale.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or equivalent, and experience with containerization using Docker in practical workflows.

• Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks like LangChain, OpenRouter, or similar technologies applied to automation tasks.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy.

• Self-motivated work ethic with the ability to troubleshoot independently.

• English proficiency: Upper-intermediate (B2) or higher.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical disciplines is an advantage.
