This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania, +5 more countries.
• Take ownership of comprehensive data extraction processes from intricate websites, guaranteeing thorough coverage, precision, and dependable delivery of structured datasets.
• Utilize existing tools and tailor-made workflows to expedite data gathering, validation, and task execution while adhering to specified requirements.
• Ensure dependable extraction from dynamic and interactive web sources, modifying strategies for JavaScript-rendered content and evolving site behaviors.
• Uphold data quality standards through validation checks, cross-source consistency controls, formatting guidelines, and systematic verification prior to delivery.
• Enhance scraping operations for extensive datasets through effective batching or parallel processing.
• Monitor for failures and sustain stability against minor alterations in site structure.
• Manage specialized data scraping workflows for practical applications within the Tendem project using tools like Apify, OpenRouter, and other technologies.
• Minimum of 5+ years of pertinent experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical disciplines is advantageous.
• Strong technical expertise and hands-on experience with scripting, automation, and data extraction workflows.
• Significant experience in Python web scraping, including tools like BeautifulSoup, Selenium, or equivalents, dynamic content (JS, AJAX, infinite scroll), and APIs via proxies.
• Capability to extract data from complex structures, encompassing hierarchies, archived pages, and inconsistent HTML.
• Solid foundation in data cleaning, normalization, and validation, delivering structured datasets in CSV, JSON, or Google Sheets formats.
• Proven experience in managing anti-bot mechanisms and dynamic site structures at scale.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent) and containerization (Docker) within real workflows.
• Practical experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, OpenRouter, or similar applied to automation tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
• Self-motivated work ethic with the ability to troubleshoot independently.
• Proficiency in English: Upper-intermediate (B2) or higher.
• A GitHub link is a plus.
• Freelance, part-time remote position.
