Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Take charge of comprehensive data extraction processes from intricate websites.

• Guarantee thorough coverage, precision, and dependable delivery of organized datasets.

• Utilize tools and tailored workflows to expedite data gathering, validation, and task execution.

• Consistently extract data from dynamic and interactive web sources, including content rendered by JavaScript.

• Modify scraping techniques in response to evolving site behaviors.

• Uphold data quality through validation checks, cross-source consistency controls, formatting standards, and systematic verification.

• Expand scraping operations for large datasets using effective batching or parallel processing.

• Oversee failures and ensure stability against minor changes in site structure.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical disciplines is advantageous.

• Strong proficiency in Python web scraping, including tools like BeautifulSoup, Selenium, or similar, dynamic content handling, and API access via proxies.

• Demonstrated capability to extract data from complex structures, including hierarchies, archived pages, and inconsistent HTML.

• A solid foundation in data cleaning, normalization, and validation processes.

• Experience with anti-bot mechanisms and dynamic site structures at scale.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or equivalent, as well as Docker containerization.

• Practical experience with LLM frameworks like LangChain, OpenRouter, or similar in automation tasks.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.

• A self-directed work ethic and the ability to troubleshoot independently.

• Proficiency in English at Upper-intermediate (B2) level or above.

• A GitHub link is a plus.
