Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

• Take ownership of comprehensive data extraction processes across intricate websites.

• Guarantee thorough coverage, precision, and dependable delivery of structured datasets.

• Leverage available tools and tailored workflows to expedite data gathering, validation, and task execution.

• Extract data from dynamic and interactive web sources, adjusting to JavaScript-rendered content and evolving site behavior.

• Uphold data quality through validation checks, cross-source consistency controls, formatting standards, and systematic verification.

• Scale scraping operations for extensive datasets utilizing efficient batching or parallel processing.

• Monitor failures and ensure stability against minor changes in site structure.

• Employ tools such as Apify, OpenRouter, and other technologies for web extraction and processing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or other related technical disciplines is advantageous.

• Strong technical background and practical expertise in scripting, automation, and data extraction workflows.

• Extensive experience in Python web scraping, including tools like BeautifulSoup, Selenium, or similar, as well as dynamic content and APIs via proxies.

• Proven capability to extract data from complex structures, including hierarchies, archived pages, and inconsistent HTML.

• Solid experience in data cleaning, normalization, and validation, providing structured datasets in CSV, JSON, or Google Sheets.

• Demonstrated experience in managing anti-bot mechanisms and dynamic site structures at scale.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or its equivalent.

• Experience with containerization using Docker as part of real-world workflows.

• Practical experience with LLM frameworks like LangChain, OpenRouter, or similar applied to automation tasks.

• Strong attention to detail and dedication to data accuracy.

• Self-motivated work ethic with the ability to troubleshoot independently.

• Proficiency in English at the Upper-intermediate (B2) level or higher.

• A link to a GitHub profile is a plus.
