Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of comprehensive data extraction processes across intricate websites, guaranteeing thorough coverage, precision, and dependable delivery of structured datasets.

• Utilize available tools and tailor-made workflows to expedite data collection, validation, and task execution while adhering to established requirements.

• Ensure consistent extraction from dynamic and interactive web sources, modifying strategies for JavaScript-rendered content and evolving site behaviors.

• Uphold data quality standards through validation checks, controls for cross-source consistency, formatting guidelines, and methodical verification prior to delivery.

• Scale scraping operations for extensive datasets using effective batching or parallelization techniques.

• Monitor failures and sustain stability in response to minor changes in site structure.

• Collaborate with Tendem Agents managing repetitive tasks within Mindrift’s hybrid AI and human framework.

• Employ tools such as Apify, OpenRouter, and other technologies in conjunction with technical expertise and customized methods.

• Leverage web scraping, data extraction, and data processing skills to produce accurate, reliable, and high-quality results.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development (required).

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical disciplines is a plus.

• Extensive experience in Python web scraping (BeautifulSoup, Selenium, or similar), including the handling of dynamic content (JS, AJAX, infinite scrolling) and APIs through proxies.

• Proven capability to extract data from complex structures, encompassing hierarchies, archived pages, and inconsistent HTML.

• Strong foundation in data cleaning, normalization, and validation, delivering structured datasets in CSV, JSON, or Google Sheets formats.

• Demonstrated experience in managing anti-bot measures and dynamic site structures at scale.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent) and containerization (Docker) as part of practical workflows.

• Practical experience with LLM frameworks (LangChain, OpenRouter, or similar) applied to automation tasks.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy.

• Self-motivated work ethic with the ability to troubleshoot independently.

• Proficiency in English: Upper-intermediate (B2) or higher (required).
