This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.
• Manage comprehensive data extraction processes across intricate websites, guaranteeing thorough coverage, precision, and dependable delivery of structured datasets.
• Utilize available tools and tailored workflows to expedite data gathering, validation, and task execution while adhering to specified requirements.
• Ensure consistent extraction from dynamic and interactive web sources, modifying methods for JavaScript-rendered content and fluctuating site behavior.
• Uphold data quality standards through validation processes, cross-source consistency checks, formatting criteria, and systematic verification prior to delivery.
• Scale scraping activities for extensive datasets using effective batching or parallelization, oversee failures, and maintain stability against minor alterations in site structure.
• Leverage expertise in web scraping, data extraction, and data processing for the Tendem project.
• Employ tools such as Apify, OpenRouter, and other relevant technologies.
• A minimum of 5+ years of pertinent experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development (required).
• Proficiency in English: Upper-intermediate (B2) or higher (required).
• Strong background in Python web scraping (BeautifulSoup, Selenium or similar), including handling dynamic content (JS, AJAX, infinite scroll) and APIs via proxies.
• Proven capability to extract data from complex structures (hierarchies, archived pages, inconsistent HTML).
• Solid experience in data cleaning, normalization, and validation, producing structured datasets (CSV, JSON, Google Sheets).
• Demonstrated expertise in managing anti-bot mechanisms and dynamic site structures at scale.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent) and containerization (Docker) as part of actual workflows.
• Practical experience with LLM frameworks (LangChain, OpenRouter, or similar) applied to automation tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
• Self-motivated work ethic with the capability to troubleshoot independently.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical fields is a plus.
