Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of comprehensive data extraction processes across intricate websites.

• Guarantee thorough coverage, precision, and dependable delivery of structured datasets.

• Utilize tools and tailored workflows to enhance data gathering, validation, and task execution.

• Consistently extract data from dynamic and interactive web sources, including content rendered by JavaScript.

• Modify scraping strategies in response to evolving site behaviors.

• Uphold data quality through validation checks, cross-source consistency controls, formatting guidelines, and systematic verification.

• Expand scraping operations for extensive datasets by employing efficient batching or parallelization methods.

• Supervise failures and uphold stability against minor alterations in site structure.

• Leverage your expertise in web scraping, data extraction, and data processing for the Tendem project.

• Utilize Apify, OpenRouter, and additional technologies alongside your technical skills.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical disciplines is an advantage.

• A strong technical background and hands-on experience with scripting, automation, and data extraction workflows.

• Extensive experience in Python web scraping, including tools like BeautifulSoup, Selenium or similar, handling dynamic content (JS, AJAX, infinite scroll), and APIs via proxies.

• Demonstrated capability to extract data from complex structures, including hierarchies, archived pages, and inconsistent HTML.

• A solid foundation in data cleaning, normalization, and validation, delivering structured datasets in formats such as CSV, JSON, or Google Sheets.

• Proven experience in managing anti-bot mechanisms and dynamic site structures at scale.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure like AWS or equivalent, as well as containerization using Docker.

• Practical experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, OpenRouter, or similar in relation to automation tasks.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy.

• A self-motivated work ethic with the ability to troubleshoot independently.

• Proficiency in English at Upper-intermediate (B2) level or higher.

• A GitHub link is a plus.
