Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of comprehensive data extraction processes across intricate websites.

• Guarantee thorough coverage, precision, and dependable delivery of organized datasets.

• Utilize tools and tailored workflows to enhance data collection, validation, and task execution.

• Consistently extract data from dynamic and interactive web sources, including content rendered by JavaScript.

• Modify scraping techniques in response to evolving site behavior and minor structural adjustments.

• Uphold data quality through validation checks, controls for cross-source consistency, formatting guidelines, and systematic verification.

• Expand scraping operations for extensive datasets utilizing efficient batching or parallel processing.

• Track failures and ensure the stability of scraping activities.

• Implement tools such as Apify, OpenRouter, and other technologies within web extraction and processing workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of pertinent experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development (mandatory).

• Proficiency in English at an upper-intermediate level (B2) or higher (mandatory).

• Extensive experience in Python web scraping, including the use of BeautifulSoup, Selenium, or similar tools, as well as handling dynamic content (JS, AJAX, infinite scroll), and APIs through proxies.

• Proven capability to extract data from complex structures, including hierarchies, archived pages, and inconsistent HTML.

• Strong foundation in data cleaning, normalization, and validation, providing structured datasets in formats like CSV, JSON, or Google Sheets.

• Demonstrated experience managing anti-bot measures and dynamic site architectures on a large scale.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent) and containerization (Docker) in practical workflows.

• Direct experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain or OpenRouter applied to automation projects.

• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy.

• Self-motivated work ethic with the ability to troubleshoot independently.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical fields is advantageous.

• A GitHub link is a plus.
