This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Provide support for U.S. federal and international government and commercial proposals, as well as related BD Ops deliverables, including ROM pricing estimates, RFI responses, and white papers for the Asia/Middle East GTM team.
• Take the lead on ASME proposal initiatives, coordinating with stakeholders and sharing insights on customer, market, and BD strategies.
• Oversee competing priorities among proposals and other deliverables within the international BD Ops team.
• Manage the complete proposal execution process from pre-RFP planning to submission and closeout.
• Guide cross-functional proposal teams to ensure timely delivery of compliant, high-quality submissions.
• Enhance proposal processes, tools, templates, and best practices.
• Mentor contributors to proposals and promote collaborative team dynamics.
• Assist in the development of briefings and presentations for customer engagements.
• Provide support for customer meetings, demonstrations, and GTM events as necessary.
• Offer additional assistance to BD Ops and GTM leadership as required.
• Oversee proposal lifecycle activities including kickoff meetings, stakeholder collaboration, color reviews, and management reviews with senior leaders and executives.
• 2-4+ years of experience in U.S. Federal or international government proposal development or BD operations.
• In the absence of direct government proposal experience, at least 3 years of experience engaging with U.S. Federal or international government requirements.
• A bachelor's degree in business, communication, marketing, engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• A strong academic track record.
• Familiarity with proposal methodologies (e.g., Shipley), compliance matrices, and the implementation of project management tools and processes.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a professional environment.
• Capable of effectively communicating complex technical ideas, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work collaboratively and adaptively within a team, embracing the startup culture.
• Proficient in engaging effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization.
• Proven track record of diligence, reliability, maintaining high standards for oneself and others, and showing kindness to colleagues.
• Preferred: Experience in managing Foreign Military Sale and Direct Commercial Sale bids/proposals.
• Preferred: A strong technical background, particularly with unmanned/uncrewed systems and/or autonomy software.
• Preferred: Knowledge and understanding of military operations and Asia/Middle East defense acquisition processes.
• Preferred: Insight into international markets and geopolitical trends within the aerospace/defense sector.
• Preferred: Active U.S. security clearance.
