This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers with urgent technical requirements.
• Oversee technical projects from the initial customer inquiry through to project completion.
• Provide leadership and project management for designated projects.
• Ensure that project management methodologies adhere to business policies, with projects delivered on time and within budget constraints.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage project risks and issues, implementing strategies for mitigation.
• Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Monitor project performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and report progress to stakeholders.
• Negotiate contract terms and manage change orders for alterations in project scope or unexpected events.
• Mentor and support junior project managers.
• Cultivate specialized knowledge in nuclear energy and remain current on technical advancements.
• Utilize technical expertise for data analysis to support project decisions and recommendations.
• Collaborate with organizational functions, vendors, and customers to define and execute project deliverables.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or college, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management; or equivalent experience/education, such as a Senior Reactor Operator with at least 5 years in Project Management.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the nuclear power sector; candidates with nuclear experience will only be considered.
• At least 3 years of experience managing complex projects with multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% both domestically and internationally to GE Vernova and customer sites.
• Willingness to respond to urgent customer requests during both standard and non-standard hours.
• Capability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information, if necessary.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Experience as a Senior Reactor Operator is preferred.
• Knowledge of U.S. nuclear regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with engineering and project management tools, processes, and software.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Proven project management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Demonstrated aptitude for problem analysis and resolution.
• Proven ability to lead programs and projects.
