IT Project Manager I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee one or several Information Technology-driven initiatives within the AMSURG IT Department.

• Engage with executive stakeholders, key project teams, and ensure successful project completion and transition to operational status.

• Direct projects from discovery, strategy, and planning through to execution, transition, and closure.

• Initiate, coordinate, and finalize multiple concurrent projects across various business areas and departments.

• Establish and nurture relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments.

• Take ownership of stakeholder management and set clear customer expectations.

• Define project scope, objectives, success metrics, and criteria for success in collaboration with senior management and relevant stakeholders.

• Document both current-state and target-state processes and environments.

• Develop and present project plans along with communication documents.

• Monitor and track the progress of projects.

• Estimate and allocate resources and participants effectively.

• Assign responsibilities and summarize project progress.

• Identify and address issues and conflicts within the project team; escalate when necessary.

• Manage project dependencies and critical paths diligently.

• Handle scope changes and change control; create and implement contingency plans.

• Produce project documentation, including progress reports, proposals, requirements, and presentations.

• Utilize project delivery metrics to assess and enhance team performance.

• Conduct project post-mortems and promote continuous improvement.

• Develop best practices and tools for project execution and standardize tracking methods.

• Contribute to the IT Project Management Office.

• Collaborate with project management and IT teams to achieve project objectives.

• Educate project team members in project management principles.

• Adhere to corporate compliance, policies, reporting, and mandatory training requirements.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• 0–2 years of project management experience in an enterprise environment.

• 0–2 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred.

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.

• PMI Project Management Professional Certification or equivalent is strongly preferred.

• Capability to work independently and in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

• Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to respond to project adjustments and changes promptly and efficiently.

• Proficiency in reading communication styles of team members and contractors across various disciplines.

• Skill in eliciting cooperation from upper management, clients, and other departments.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to ease tension among project team members.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to research project-related issues and products effectively.

• Capacity to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

• Must provide own insured transportation for commuting to work and other locations as required by job responsibilities.
