This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.
• Oversee multiple intricate, cross-functional R&D initiatives and digital product workflows from the planning stage to execution.
• Take responsibility for project scope, timelines, milestones, and dependencies, including coordinated plans for digital and connected-device teams.
• Manage simultaneous workstreams and priorities, resources, and interdepartmental dependencies.
• Recognize project risks, assess business implications and interrelations, and establish mitigation and escalation strategies.
• Foster clarity, accountability, decision-making, problem-solving, and momentum towards milestones in uncertain situations.
• Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to facilitate planning and execution.
• Persuade stakeholders across various functions and levels without direct authority.
• Enhance project management methodologies, workflows, and operational practices.
• Guide project planning, scoping, workshops, and discussions with stakeholders.
• Relay status updates, risks, dependencies, trade-offs, and decisions to teams and senior leadership.
• Aid in resource and budget planning alongside functional leaders.
• Utilize both traditional and Agile project management methodologies.
• Cultivate cross-organizational relationships and promote the expression of concerns, challenges, and process enhancements.
• A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent is mandatory.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience, showcasing proven project management capabilities in leading complex projects.
• Proven expertise in developing and managing project scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and risk management.
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and achieving results through influence rather than direct authority.
• Proficient in handling multiple competing priorities and making informed decisions in uncertain, fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong capability to identify issues, drive action, and enhance processes.
• Experience in supporting digital products, software development, or technology-oriented programs.
• Familiarity with connected devices, medical devices, or other complex product development settings.
• Proficient in Agile or hybrid project management methodologies.
• Experience in facilitating workshops, project scoping sessions, or cross-functional planning activities.
• Background in project budgeting and resource planning.
• Experience in new product development and/or sustaining existing products.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
• Flexible work options: remote, hybrid, or onsite.
• Travel requirements: 20%.
