This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee comprehensive project plans for enterprise sustainability and energy compliance initiatives, encompassing ISO 27001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, SOC2, and PCI programs.
• Develop and sustain integrated timelines for evidence gathering, gap remediation, readiness assessments, external audit timelines, and certification submissions.
• Act as the primary operational liaison for external audit teams.
• Manage site access, document requests, interviews, responses to findings, and management representations.
• Facilitate stakeholder mapping across Finance, IT, Legal, Operations, Facilities, EHS, and Sustainability.
• Monitor scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and change control; escalate potential threats to the critical path.
• Ensure projects maintain uptime, adhere to change-management protocols, and meet physical/cybersecurity standards in live data centers.
• Create a reusable evidence repository that includes policies, SOPs, meter and utility data, training records, incident logs, and contractor controls.
• Generate executive and steering committee status updates covering milestone progress, findings, budget versus plan, and audit/submission recommendations.
• Lead post-audit remediation efforts and recertification schedules.
• Document lessons learned and enhance standard procedures for future sites and programs.
• Collaborate daily with external audit firms and internal stakeholders across Finance, IT, Legal, Operations, Facilities, EHS, and Sustainability.
• Achieve timely certification results, maintain clean audit cycles, and enforce disciplined project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Compliance, Operations, Engineering, Environmental/Energy Management, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years as a Project Manager managing operational projects from start to finish.
• At least 3 years as a Compliance Analyst or in a similar compliance, internal controls, or audit support position for enterprise or multi-site programs.
• Proven experience leading comprehensive enterprise-level projects from initiation to closure, including schedule management, stakeholder engagement, and timely delivery.
• Familiarity with third-party auditors or certification organizations, covering evidence requests, findings, and remediation tracking.
• Working knowledge of at least one energy or environmental management/certification framework relevant to data centers, such as ISO 27001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, SOC2, PCI, or similar frameworks.
• Capability to manage projects in active 24x7 operations without affecting availability or breaching change-control protocols.
• Strong written communication skills for audit narratives, evidence documentation, and executive updates.
• Proficient in MS Project, Smartsheet, or comparable project management tools.
• Skilled in utilizing AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude.
• Proficient in the Microsoft 365 suite.
• Preferred: direct experience in data centers, oil and gas, renewable energy, public utility, or similar industries.
• Preferred: PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification.
• Preferred: experience coordinating enterprise PMO governance, internal audits, SOC-style evidence processes, or customer sustainability assessments alongside formal certifications.
• Preferred: prior collaboration with Big 4 firms, specialized sustainability consultants, or recognized certification bodies.
• Strong compliance analyst rigor, including the ability to differentiate between policies, controls, and evidence of control effectiveness.
• Experience leading enterprise projects from inception through to audit completion.
• Operational discipline in sequencing, documenting, and managing audit tasks.
• Ability to coordinate across Finance, Legal, IT, and site operations effectively.
