Petroleum Equipment Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and coordinate contractors, professional service companies, and GPM resources engaged in the installation, repair, maintenance, and construction of UST systems, dispensers, canopies, ATGs, and other fuel-related apparatus.

• Formulate plans and delineate scopes for petroleum equipment projects within the designated geographical area.

• Implement compliance project scopes pertaining to UST regulations and the permitting of petroleum equipment projects.

• Collaborate with state, county, and local regulatory bodies on petroleum equipment projects and compliance matters.

• Budget, manage, and relay all projects to stakeholders effectively.

• Monitor project performance to guarantee timely completion within budget constraints.

• Lead cross-departmental project teams throughout the entire project lifecycle.

• Create and update project plans, including timelines, issues, resources, and dependencies.

• Manage issue resolution and reallocate resources to reduce downtime and hasten completion.

• Manage project risks to prevent delays or damage to reputation.

• Develop communication strategies and convey status, issues, risks, and decisions to project sponsors and senior personnel.

• Facilitate decision-making among project team members and stakeholders regarding schedule, scope, budget, and resources.

• Support the development of project management curriculum and expertise at GPM Investments.

• Provide petroleum equipment training to associates.

• Mentor and coach associates on projects and within departments.

• Act as a bridge between departments concerning petroleum equipment project management and best practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in the installation and maintenance of Petroleum Equipment is essential.

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related sciences, particularly in Petroleum Equipment and Project Management, is preferred.

• Knowledge of Petroleum Equipment in relation to Mechanical & Electrical design and installation is advantageous.

• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Smartsheet, Microsoft Project) is required.

• Experience interpreting engineering drawings produced by AutoCAD or other widely recognized drafting software.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Advanced mathematical skills related to load calculations and financial budgeting, with examples of typical Petroleum Equipment Project and Construction mathematics.

• A 4-year degree or equivalent knowledge in sciences relevant to Petroleum Equipment, Construction Project Management, or similar fields.

• Willingness to travel to various project locations as necessary.

• Proven ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative setting.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
