Senior Project Manager – Medicaid Implementation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee all facets of Medicaid implementation projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.

• Strategically plan, organize, monitor, and manage intricate projects utilizing cross-functional teams.

• Support training initiatives and fulfill responsibilities as the dedicated Project Manager.

• Handle the complete project life cycle, encompassing requirements analysis, project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting, execution, deployment, and closure.

• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, which includes meeting minutes, action items, issue logs, project plans, and risk management strategies.

• Relay project status updates to stakeholders and external organizations.

• Negotiate with stakeholders to ascertain resources, address issues, and mitigate risks.

• Facilitate cross-functional meetings and synchronize stakeholder expectations with organizational objectives.

• Offer both functional and technical expertise across business and technical domains.

• Supervise project deliverables, including design documents, test plans, training materials, and operational documentation.

• Lead project teams and inspire members to achieve goals and milestones.

• Report on project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues to leadership.

• Evaluate interdependencies among technology, operations, and business requirements.

• Conduct internal project quality control and engage in issue resolution.

• Define Statements of Work and specifications for Medicaid contracts/RFPs.

• Manage project/program expectations, delegate deliverables, and address issues and risks.

• Provide effective executive-level communication.

• Ensure projects and programs align with scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or a minimum of 5 years of pertinent work experience.

• At least 5 years of formal Project Management experience with large-scale initiatives.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Change Management.

• Over 3 years of experience working within a managed care healthcare system or health plan.

• Familiarity with Medicaid and/or Medicare operations.

• More than 3 years of experience in a matrixed work environment.

• Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle, Waterfall, and Agile Development methodologies.

• Experience in business operations or consulting within a health plan context.

• Strong understanding of operations, technology, communications, and processes.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Experience using Smartsheet as a project management tool.

• Possession of certifications such as Prosci, Six Sigma, and/or from the Project Management Institute.

• Availability to work Monday through Friday, typically from 8 AM to 5 PM Eastern Time.

• Internet service with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps.
