Senior Project Manager, IT

📋 Description

• Oversee large, intricate, and strategic IT projects from the planning phase to successful execution.

• Establish project goals, scope, success criteria, deliverables, timelines, and resource needs.

• Create and uphold detailed project plans, incorporating milestones, dependencies, risk mitigation strategies, and budget oversight.

• Track project advancement and proactively resolve issues, risks, and obstacles.

• Act as the main point of contact for all project-related communications.

• Set up and manage project governance, steering committees, and executive status reviews.

• Cultivate relationships across business and technology teams to foster collaboration and alignment.

• Convey project updates, risks, dependencies, and accomplishments to stakeholders at every organizational level.

• Lead communication, training, and change management efforts within the organization.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and implement technical requirements.

• Propel measurable business results that align with strategic goals.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams and engage stakeholders to reach common objectives.

• Encourage accountability, transparency, and ongoing improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.

• At least 7 years of project management experience leading large-scale, transformative, and cross-functional projects.

• Demonstrated success in managing projects with substantial budgets, financial implications, and enterprise-level visibility.

• Experience in managing stakeholders across various departments, including senior leadership and executive teams.

• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.

• Advanced skills with project management software such as Microsoft Project and related planning tools.

• Expertise in budget management, financial forecasting, and ROI analysis.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, facilitation, and relationship-building abilities.

• PMP certification or an equivalent project management certification is preferred.

• Background in IT transformation, digital transformation, or enterprise technology initiatives is preferred.

• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.

• Leadership experience in matrixed or global environments is preferred.
