IT Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee end-to-end project management and delivery for multiple high-priority IT initiatives concurrently.

• Manage IT projects from their inception to completion.

• Create project charters, business cases, project plans, schedules, and governance documentation.

• Establish project scope, objectives, assumptions, milestones, resources, risks, dependencies, and timelines.

• Develop and oversee project schedules and work plans.

• Monitor project milestones, deliverables, resources, risks, issues, and dependencies.

• Coordinate activities among project teams, vendors, business stakeholders, and technical teams.

• Facilitate project meetings with stakeholders across all levels.

• Prepare status reports, presentations, and governance documentation for projects.

• Identify and escalate risks and issues while formulating mitigation strategies.

• Provide support to steering committees, project sponsors, and senior management.

• Coordinate business requirements along with related project documentation.

• Assist in change management and communication efforts.

• Aid in transition and operational handover processes.

• Ensure adherence to established governance, security, information-management, and enterprise-architecture standards throughout projects.

• Maintain relationships with stakeholders and vendors.

• Identify risks in project delivery and implement corrective measures.

• Evaluate project outcomes and document lessons learned for future reference.

• Utilize Microsoft applications, collaboration tools, AI, and reporting tools to enhance project delivery and communication.

• Support initiatives involving cybersecurity, legacy infrastructure remediation, SharePoint migration, Microsoft technologies, and enterprise IT projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in project management.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing project deliverables, such as project charters, business cases, project plans, and associated documentation.

• At least 4 years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience implementing IT solutions within a project-managed environment.

• At least 3 years of experience as a Project Manager on large, complex custom software projects.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with information management and cybersecurity policies/directives.

• A valid PMP or PGMP certification is required.

• Experience in cybersecurity and infrastructure initiatives, including legacy server remediation, vulnerability mitigation, Windows Server, SQL Server, server migration and decommissioning, infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity risk management, and technical dependency coordination.

• Familiarity with SharePoint Online, SharePoint 2016 migration and decommissioning, intranet and extranet migrations, Microsoft 365, Power Apps transition, and collaboration and information-management initiatives.

• Proficient in Microsoft applications, collaboration tools, AI, and reporting tools.
