This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Strategize, coordinate, develop, document, and execute various projects related to Artificial Intelligence, M365, and Cloud from analysis to implementation.
• Oversee and finalize IT projects, managing all aspects of the project lifecycle.
• Establish deadlines, allocate responsibilities, track progress, and provide updates on project status.
• Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments.
• Generate reports for upper management detailing project status.
• Compile project charters and business/project plans.
• Manage projects by documenting business requirements and designing IT solutions that comply with enterprise architecture.
• Develop recommendations concerning resource needs, dependencies, interdependencies, policy implications, and methodologies.
• Create and package deliverables for internal support teams, steering committees, and stakeholders.
• Oversee multiple projects, including project resources and governance.
• Ensure effective communication throughout projects and escalate risks as necessary.
• Manage client relationships, addressing challenges to reach mutually beneficial solutions.
• Collaborate with business and IT leadership to formulate project plans that encompass objectives, scope, assumptions, timelines, resources, risks, benefits, and budgets.
• Create project organizational structures with well-defined stakeholder roles and responsibilities.
• Report project status relative to objectives, milestones, budget, and resources; track and resolve issues and risks.
• Develop schedules and strategies, estimate resource needs, monitor work plans, and implement corrective measures.
• Guide project resources in setting priorities and executing tasks efficiently.
• Draft related requirements documentation as necessary.
• Evaluate project outcomes and identify opportunities for future enhancements.
• Provide leadership and support for change management and communication initiatives.
• Operate within or help shape project management office standards.
• Practical knowledge and experience with IT infrastructure environments, including fundamental concepts of workstation and server hardware.
• Familiarity with software build and deployment strategies.
• General understanding of line-of-business applications and their architectures.
• Strong grasp of IT Change and Communication Management frameworks.
• Solid understanding of User Acceptance Testing frameworks.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proven capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Awareness of existing Government of Alberta and departmental IT policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and practices is advantageous.
