IT Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Initiate, plan, execute, and finalize projects following the department's project management methodologies.

• Ensure that project deliverables and requirements are accomplished.

• Develop, oversee, and monitor project plans and completion activities.

• Facilitate project meetings and provide status updates.

• Implement project communication strategies.

• Actively manage challenges and cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

• Ensure projects deliver anticipated benefits and business cases, completing them on schedule, within budget, and according to established success criteria.

• Define and execute a standard, repeatable project management methodology.

• Set up project tollgates, deliverables, communication plans, issue and risk management, and escalation procedures.

• Govern project tollgates to ensure deliverables and readiness.

• Establish and maintain PMO processes and reporting for enterprise project execution.

• Define and implement Demand Management, Resource Planning, Project Manager Scorecards, and Project Returns processes as necessary.

• Assess, communicate, and share IT project performance metrics with business leaders and executive management.

• Define, evaluate, and track KPIs and metrics.

• Complete planning in accordance with business requirements.

• Align annual project roadmaps with business objectives and provide updates throughout the year.

• Manage PMO processes and tools to ensure consistent project management practices and reporting.

• Perform additional duties as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field is required.

• Master’s Degree is preferred.

• PMI Certification is preferred.

• 7-10 years of experience in information technology.

• 2-3 years of experience in direct supervision of IT associates or in an IT project management role.

• Certification from a recognized institution in Project Management is required (e.g., PMI Certified).

• Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project and MS Project Server.

• Knowledge in networking, applications, databases, and voice and data communications.

• Familiarity with ITSM frameworks.

• Understanding of general business operations including sales, finance, operations, and purchasing.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Visio, and Project.

• Strong management and leadership skills and competencies.

• Effective skills in investment and financial management.

• Strong business consulting skills with the ability to collaborate and influence key business leaders.

• Good technical knowledge with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in understandable business terms.

• Understanding of the impact of technology on organizations and the ability to link it to restructured business processes.

• Extensive knowledge of large-scale, global project implementations.

• Highly skilled in oral and written communication as well as executive presentation capabilities.

• Team building, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.

• Familiarity with SDLC or ERP implementation methodologies.

• Capability to manage at both strategic and tactical levels.

• Ability to oversee key performance indicators and performance relative to agreed service levels.
