This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania, +1 more state.
• Aid in the creation of project charters that detail project design and/or implementation requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of capital expenditure requests.
• Oversee the assigned project scope, which includes vendor selection and management from RFP through design, installation, and final invoicing.
• Coordinate onsite build or installation activities with both internal and external partners.
• Develop and oversee project budgets.
• Manage projects that involve material handling equipment, warehouses, business systems, building construction or modifications, and related services and equipment.
• Coordinate design, contractor activities, testing, training, and start-up processes.
• Supervise assigned team members.
• Track and report on project budgets and timelines.
• Issue or authorize purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
• Create, maintain, and report on project timelines.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and vendors.
• Produce timely and concise communications regarding project status and pending issues.
• Support supplier specifications, RFPs, and contract negotiations.
• Manage external consultants, outsourced resources, and vendor relationships.
• Work in conjunction with the Project Director and internal project teams to ensure alignment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• A Master’s Degree and/or PMP certification is preferred.
• Experience managing automation or construction projects with budgets exceeding $5 million per project.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in planning and tracking projects using project management software.
• Experience in developing and monitoring project costs.
• Over 7 years of experience as a project manager, project engineer, or in a related role.
• Prior experience in consulting, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Kaizen is advantageous.
• Demonstrated expertise in leading projects related to warehouse operations, design, business systems, process improvement, standardization, engineered labor standards, and transportation.
• General knowledge of warehouse operations, design, and business systems.
• Familiarity with automated material handling equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Access databases, Word, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent presentation abilities.
• Capability to lead and motivate work teams.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to drive outcomes from both internal and external resources.
• Capacity to swiftly adapt plans to changing business needs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
