Senior Project Manager, Electrical Engineer – Smart Grid Software

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Oversee, organize, and execute strategic IT initiatives within the Smart Grid domain, from initial commissioning to successful launch.

• Manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders while coordinating all phases of the project.

• Track project timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.

• Facilitate the integration of Venios.NET into current IT infrastructures.

• Work in collaboration with development teams, customer departments, and third-party service providers.

• Assist in testing and the deployment of new functionalities.

• Recognize project risks and formulate effective risk mitigation strategies.

• Understand client requirements and propose innovative ideas for the enhancement of Venios.NET.

• Organize occasional visits to clients or the main office located in Frankfurt.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field, with proven knowledge of electrical engineering.

• Proficient in navigating technical regulations, legal requirements, and contracts.

• Several years of experience in project management, particularly in executing software projects within the energy sector.

• IPMA certification or a similar project management credential is preferred, or a commitment to obtain one.

• Extensive experience in the development and management of electrical distribution networks is a plus.

• Strong IT skills and a passion for software development.

• A structured, analytical, and results-driven work style.

• Ability to communicate empathetically, appropriately for the audience, and confidently, with skills in constructively managing conflict.

• A persuasive and confident demeanor.

• Action-oriented, resilient, solutions-focused, and highly tolerant of frustration.

• A collaborative team player who enjoys driving and adapting to change.

• Proficient in English and possesses excellent German language skills.

• Resides in Germany or Austria, or possesses valid work authorization for these countries.
