Senior Electrical Engineer – Power System Studies

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Conduct and lead intricate power system analyses, encompassing protective device coordination, short circuit, arc flash, load flow, ampacity, grounding, harmonic, and power quality assessments.

• Oversee the design of collection systems, including cable routing and sizing.

• Prepare interconnection application packages and establish load flow and dynamic models.

• Develop and manage grid interconnection and collection system schematics.

• Generate equipment specifications for renewable energy systems, such as PV modules, inverters, BESS, transformers, cable management systems, and BOS.

• Evaluate project documentation for compliance and quality assurance.

• Implement engineering principles and devise enhanced techniques, processes, materials, or products.

• Facilitate client engagement across various projects and portfolios.

• Serve as the primary contact for a discipline or project team.

• Produce and supervise client-ready reports and presentations.

• Draft proposals and finalize project scopes, budgets, and timelines.

• Organize, plan, and coordinate document preparation and project tasks across major initiatives.

• Guide, train, and mentor junior engineers.

• Lead staff necessary to accomplish project assignments.

• Advise management and team members as a technical expert.

• Collaborate on complex or unconventional challenges and create innovative solutions.

• Manage projects within a portfolio or suite of projects.

• Ensure deliverables and deadlines are met while performing additional assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, or a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field accompanied by five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience.

• Professional Engineer (PE or Canadian P.Eng) license is preferred.

• Advanced proficiency in ETAP, CDEGS, and CYMCAP.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as an electrical engineer specializing in solar PV systems or energy storage.
