Electrical Engineering Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the ongoing development of the Consulting group in areas such as gas generation, renewable energy, battery energy storage, and utility planning/advisory practices.

• Engage in owner’s engineer roles for utility-scale power generation initiatives.

• Create and/or review EPC RFP packages along with technical specifications.

• Assess EPC proposals to aid in the selection of preferred EPC contractors.

• Offer technical assistance throughout EPC contract negotiations.

• Draft or review specifications for primary power transformers, switchgear, and other electrical apparatus.

• Analyze and provide technical insights on EPC contractor electrical engineering design drawings and associated calculations.

• Work on design packages for simple- and combined-cycle electrical systems.

• Collaborate on renewable low-voltage DC and AC systems.

• Contribute to AC collection systems for solar energy and battery storage.

• Participate in the design of collector substations and the expansion of interconnecting substations.

• Engage in gen-tie transmission projects.

• Attend face-to-face meetings with power plant developers, stakeholders, lenders, and investors.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

• Over 5 years of experience in electrical engineering design for utility-scale power/storage projects.

• Experience with power projects as part of an EPC team or as an Owner’s Engineer is advantageous.

• Familiarity with auxiliary power system design.

• Experience in thermal power generation, particularly with gas-fired combined cycle systems, is a plus.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal abilities and the capacity to work collaboratively and guide others.

• Must possess authorization to work in the United States; the company does not provide sponsorship for U.S. work authorization.
