Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive daily management of joint operating model initiatives from the initial mobilization through to implementation and transition into operational phases.

• Create, sustain, and proactively manage integrated delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, and roadmaps across internal teams and delivery partners.

• Identify and manage delivery risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, escalating as necessary through portfolio or program governance frameworks.

• Oversee project governance activities, including steering committees, working groups, delivery forums, and executive reporting.

• Prepare governance materials, reporting, and decision support documentation for senior stakeholders, portfolio governance, and ExCo.

• Facilitate stakeholder engagement across business, technology, operations, finance, risk, and vendor teams.

• Assist in transition planning, ensuring operational readiness and the handover process into business-as-usual operations.

• Address and resolve escalations while maintaining stakeholder confidence and focus on delivery.

• Propel the execution of Joint Target Operating Model initiatives in collaboration with strategic third-party vendor FNZ.

• Coordinate plans and dependencies across business functional areas and FNZ through internal portfolio and program structures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in delivering complex change initiatives within Financial Services, preferably in platforms, pensions, wealth, investment administration, or outsourced servicing environments.

• Strong familiarity with outsourced service arrangements, encompassing vendor delivery management, commercial sensitivities, service transition, operational readiness, and supplier governance.

• Experience with operational readiness or transition/transfer activities involving businesses and vendors.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams, complex dependencies, and competing priorities across internal teams and external suppliers.

• In-depth understanding of project governance, risk management, controls, and regulatory aspects in a financial services context.

• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including engagement with C-suite executives.

• Experience in preparing high-quality reporting materials and decision papers for senior stakeholders.

• Outstanding communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

• Capability to influence without direct authority within a matrix organization and across supplier boundaries.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient IT skills, including all components of Microsoft Office.

• Direct experience with FNZ, or a comparable platform, technology vendor, or outsourced administration partner is desirable.

• Experience in supporting joint operating model transformation activities related to pension, wealth, or investment administration platforms is desirable.

• Background in managing delivery across outsourced service models where responsibilities are shared between internal teams and external providers is desirable.

• Strategic thinking capability with the ability to align delivery activities to strategic outcomes.
