This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Lead the comprehensive execution of intricate energy infrastructure and construction initiatives.
• Offer project oversight, governance, and responsibility for safety, scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Guide project development and delivery in collaboration with Engineering, Construction, and Operations leadership.
• Propel project strategy, conduct constructability reviews, define scope, plan procurement, select subcontractors, estimate costs, schedule activities, and ensure commissioning, startup, and long-term operational readiness.
• Supervise relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Manage vendors and subcontractors to guarantee quality assurance and timely, budget-compliant delivery.
• Provide continuous updates on project status throughout the design and construction phases.
• Assess technologies and equipment, recommending appropriate solutions.
• Lead initiatives regarding site safety and health plans, quality assurance and control, operational and maintenance startup, as well as manuals and training activities.
• Deliver project reports, documentation, technical assistance, support, and collaboration.
• Oversee project teams and resources, including managing expenditures and job cost accounting processes.
• Ensure adherence to company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, and codes.
• Cultivate positive business relationships at every level and during all phases of the project.
• Perform additional duties as necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, business management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in civil infrastructure, electrical (medium/high voltage), mechanical/turbine/generators, engineering, or industrial power construction project management, particularly involving complex and multi-site facility infrastructure projects, renovations, retrofits, upgrades, building controls and automation, energy services, and renewable technologies.
• Capability to pass comprehensive background and drug screening pre-employment checks.
• Proven experience in delivering complex renewable energy projects.
• Previous experience in leading and managing construction teams and resources on highly complex and multi-site projects.
• Progressive experience in construction project management, particularly with direct digital energy control systems, variable frequency drives, high-efficiency motors, central plant chiller and boiler installations, nuclear projects, lighting retrofits, renewable energy technologies, and warranty and service requirements.
• Established track record of implementing OSHA safety standards, civil site work, mechanical and electrical systems development, engineering, and project management regulations, practices, and codes.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple project deliverables while fostering positive business relationships.
• Excellent verbal, written, computer, technical communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficient in computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, Project, AutoCAD, and Procore.
• Valid Driver’s License in good standing, issued by the resident state.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% annually; may require on-call response and travel.
• USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) and OSHA certifications are a plus.
• Experience in data center project management is preferred.
• Completion or active pursuit of engineering, project management, or industry-related education is preferred.
