Senior Programmer – IBM iSeries, RPG IV

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Analyze and resolve technical issues related to systems and applications.

• Document observations and propose effective solutions to enhance business operations.

• Supervise the continuous operation and upkeep of the IBM iSeries platform.

• Lead projects from their initial definition to full implementation.

• Efficiently manage resources to ensure accurate and timely completion of deliverables.

• Create application solutions for current applications, software, and operating systems.

• Stay updated with ongoing system enhancements.

• Collaborate with network personnel to guarantee the seamless and dependable operation of software and systems.

• Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of current IBM iSeries systems.

• Formulate and execute strategies to improve or further utilize IBM iSeries systems for business processes.

• Design and develop both manual and automated procedures to capitalize on business opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of programming experience in iSeries.

• Strong expertise in RPG ILE, RPG, CL, Query, DBU, SQL, and DDS.

• Excellent communication skills, ability to work in teams, and self-motivation.

• Demonstrated analytical skills and creative problem-solving capabilities.

• Experience with the WebSmart development tool is advantageous.
