Senior Programmer Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Manage daily application development, maintenance, and support tasks.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship in application development, maintenance, support, standards, and deliverable processes.

• Ensure that application design, development, maintenance, and support activities comply with established policies, standards, processes, and procedures.

• Collaborate with business teams, application support teams, DBAs, and other SNB teams to gather client and technical specifications.

• Assess effort and timelines for suggested solutions.

• Work alongside Application Leads and Business Owners to prioritize and schedule tasks.

• Design, document, test, and implement technical solutions within an operational setting.

• Perform preventative maintenance to enhance system performance and application usability.

• Partner with Technology Services teams to explore and implement effective system solutions.

• Plan technology upgrades to ensure a stable and secure operational environment.

• Assist Business Owners with user acceptance testing.

• Handle multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a dynamic environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, accompanied by a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, OR a college diploma in a related discipline with at least seven (7) years of relevant experience.

• Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of training and experience.

• Proficient in relational database design and development, particularly with SQL Server.

• Experienced in maintaining and developing SQL Server databases, including tables, views, queries, stored procedures, functions, scheduled jobs, and packages.

• Skilled in T-SQL with an understanding of query optimization and indexing strategies.

• Familiar with SSAS development, including building and deploying SSAS tabular models and designing dimensions, facts, measures, relationships, and data hierarchies.

• Experienced in writing DAX expressions for SSAS tabular models and Power BI.

• Capable of developing paginated reports in Power BI Reporting Services.

• Proficient in both written and spoken English.

• Availability for occasional weekday evening and weekend work hours may be necessary.

• Candidates must complete a Criminal History Clearance prior to appointment.
