Senior Program Manager, IT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee cross-functional management of all IT projects and programs spanning Infrastructure, Cloud & AI Platforms, Security, and Application Management.

• Develop and sustain a clear IT project portfolio.

• Collaborate with department heads to prioritize projects effectively.

• Manage cross-functional initiatives including new cloud services, international expansion, AI deployments, and site launches.

• Provide consistent updates to the VP regarding portfolio status, risks, and necessary decisions.

• Define priorities, quality benchmarks, and work packages for IT Project Managers.

• Engage in joint project planning and leadership within a matrix organization.

• Mentor and assist in the development of Project Managers.

• Create and implement a standardized project intake process.

• Assess incoming project requests and differentiate them from operational tasks.

• Identify and address interdepartmental dependencies within IT.

• Proactively escalate blockers or resource limitations at an early stage.

• Ensure that all IT projects proceed through the portfolio process.

• Facilitate seamless transitions to operations, including documentation, training, and support concepts.

• Establish uniform project standards, templates, status reports, and milestones.

• Extensive experience in managing IT project portfolios within technically intricate settings.

• Demonstrated experience in coordinating cross-functional IT projects rather than just individual initiatives.

• Comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud and AI platforms, application management, and security.

• Proficient in project portfolio management, encompassing prioritization, dependency analysis, and resource allocation.

• Practical methodological expertise in both agile and traditional project management approaches.

• Capability to achieve results through matrix leadership without direct disciplinary authority.

• Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization.

• Organized and structured approach to work tasks.

• Strong skills in conflict resolution.

• Self-driven and responsible in establishing a new function.

• Experience working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders at various levels.

• Proficient in German and possess good English language skills.
