
Senior Program Manager, IP Strategy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
β’ Act as the operational and programmatic leader in facilitating the creation and implementation of ASME's IP Strategy Office.
β’ Oversee strategic initiatives aligned with the IP Strategy Office roadmap, encompassing integrated program plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and decision points.
β’ Manage licensing inventory and assessment, governance framework deployment, AI/SLM response processes, pilot and readiness initiatives, and opportunities for process automation.
β’ Administer a centralized intake system for licensing inquiries, AI/SLM usage requests, derivative-use requests, governance certifications, and enterprise guidance requests.
β’ Maintain routing logic, escalation pathways, decision-support documentation, engagement triggers, decision trees, and governance workflows.
β’ Facilitate execution across Legal, Information Technology / DoC, CRO, CX, Standards, Publishing, and various Business Units.
β’ Encourage the adoption of IP governance processes through effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
β’ Assist in enterprise-wide efforts for licensing inventory and assessment, which includes agreement status, rights classifications, risk assessments, opportunities, and remediation activities.
β’ Create and manage executive dashboards that track governance adoption, licensing inventory progress, AI inquiry volume and disposition, program milestones, KU/MKU implementation progress, risks, and dependencies.
β’ Develop materials suitable for executive audiences, including leadership, board, and advisory groups.
β’ Support AI governance processes and documentation, ensuring alignment with Digital Transformation initiatives.
β’ Oversee KU/MKU pilot activities, data collection, baseline development, readiness metrics, reporting, and integration with portfolio and product planning.
β’ A Bachelor's degree is required.
β’ 7-10+ years of experience in program management, business transformation, PMO, governance, operations, or leading enterprise initiatives.
β’ Proven experience in managing complex, cross-functional initiatives that involve multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and considerable organizational change.
β’ Experience in executive-facing program management that supports strategic planning, executive reporting, dashboard creation, governance forums, steering committees, and decision tracking.
β’ Demonstrated ability to create and enhance intake processes, governance workflows, escalation paths, business operating procedures, performance metrics, and KPIs.
β’ Preferred experience in supporting governance, compliance, risk management, knowledge management, data governance, intellectual property, content operations, publishing, standards development, or related enterprise functions.
β’ Comfortable working within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, utilizing project and portfolio management tools, workflow automation tools, dashboarding and reporting systems, process mapping, and AI-assisted productivity tools.
