This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the delivery for a multi-year, multi-workstream carrier engagement, starting from the Solution Design Workshop handoff through to go-live and transition into managed services.
• Convert the confirmed scope into a cohesive implementation plan that includes epics, milestones, dependencies, and a resource-loaded timeline.
• Manage concurrent workstreams such as platform configuration, integration, forms, data migration, and vendor deliverables within a single critical path.
• Ensure adherence to timelines, budget, scope, and quality of delivery.
• Lead the kickoff and Sprint 0 phases, including client prerequisites.
• Monitor hours, estimates to complete, estimates at completion, and variances; predict overruns and suggest appropriate actions.
• Maintain assumptions in the SOW, identify triggers for change orders, and draft as well as negotiate change orders.
• Own the RAID and query logs, mitigate risks and dependencies, and escalate any threats to milestones, budget, or relationships.
• Create internal briefings and client-facing status presentations featuring Schedule, Scope, Quality, and Budget ratings.
• Track decisions and action items; keep program documentation, dashboards, and success metrics up to date.
• Act as the primary delivery counterpart for the carrier, conduct weekly status meetings, and support steering committees.
• Coordinate efforts among Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, engineering teams, QA, support, Product, and third-party vendors.
• Manage acceptance gate readiness, UAT planning, migration readiness, cutover, hypercare, go/no-go decisions, and handoff to managed services.
• 6 to 10 years of experience in project delivery within SaaS or insurtech, specifically with complex client engagements.
• Proven track record of leading multi-year engagements valued at up to $10M, with direct responsibility for budget, margin-relevant hours, and change orders.
• Experience managing 2 or more concurrent workstreams under a unified plan.
• Strong financial management skills, including tracking work orders or SOW budgets, forecasting estimates to complete, and variance reporting on fixed-price and time-and-materials contracts.
• Proficiency in scope and change control, including the ability to identify when change orders are necessary.
• Experience collaborating with Agile delivery teams and Scrum Masters.
• Ability to provide clear status reports, facilitate steering committees, and escalate issues calmly.
• Demonstrated ownership of RAID management, UAT, cutover, and go-live processes for enterprise software implementations.
• Familiarity with Jira or similar project delivery tools.
• Experience in establishing success metrics and conducting post-launch evaluations.
• In-depth knowledge of enterprise insurance SaaS platforms, life insurance, annuities or broader financial services, ACORD standards, e-signature and forms workflows, platform upgrades or legacy-to-modern migrations, and AI-assisted delivery tools is a plus.
• PMP or equivalent certification is preferred; Agile certification (CSM or SAFe) is recommended.
