Senior Program Manager, Cervical Cancer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Rwanda, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Provide daily operational and technical guidance across country support, costing and financing, as well as diagnostics strategy and execution.

• Mentor associates and senior associates in addressing country requests and ensure the quality of their outputs.

• Act as the primary escalation point for country teams and oversee the demand for country support.

• Supervise costing methodologies, data quality, and consistency throughout program countries.

• Lead the financing workstream for cervical cancer and create sustainable financing pathways, analyses, and toolkits.

• Direct learning agendas and develop cross-country learning materials focused on costing and financing.

• Enhance the diagnostics strategy for screening and precancer treatment technologies, including AI-assisted screening and near point of care HPV tests.

• Assist country teams in the planning and deployment of AI-assisted screening tools, covering regulatory, digital health, procurement, supply-chain, and service readiness requirements.

• Lead funding proposals at both the multi-country and country levels.

• Compile regular program and financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and re-forecasts.

• Manage and mentor associates and senior associates while supporting their professional growth.

• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across CHAI’s matrixed teams.

• Develop materials, key messages, presentations, and technical communications for senior stakeholders and fundraising efforts.

• Provide advice to senior management on screening, treatment, and an integrated strategy for cervical cancer elimination.

• Assess and cultivate relationships with partners and senior external stakeholders.

• Represent CHAI in the WHO’s cervical cancer Guidelines Development Group.

• Address emerging priorities and undertake additional tasks to further program objectives.


⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree (e.g., MBA, MPH, or a related discipline).

• 7–8 years of progressively responsible experience in global health, management consulting, or a related field.

• Proven experience in leading global or multi-country teams and managing complex, high-value grant portfolios.

• Established track record in country programs, product access, or health financing within low- and middle-income country (LMIC) contexts.

• Recognized expertise in cervical cancer prevention or relevant technical areas of the program.

• Outstanding relationship management skills, including experience working with senior, political, and multilateral stakeholders.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Experience in creating and presenting high-quality presentations and decks.

• Willingness to travel internationally approximately 20% of the time.

• Experience in remote work with a decentralized team is advantageous.

• Background in supporting low- and middle-income countries is beneficial.

• Professional fluency in additional languages is a plus.
