Senior Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +29 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the delivery and client engagement initiatives for a portfolio of key government contracts.

• Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with government stakeholders while ensuring situational awareness at the agency level.

• Identify risks related to delivery, processes, culture, expectation-setting, staffing, milestones, and finances, and collaboratively address them.

• Maintain ongoing communication with clients to grasp their vision, address issues, fulfill needs, and provide transparent progress updates.

• Assess the broader project landscape for potential opportunities and risks.

• Expand programs through surge CLINs, option years, and negotiations with subcontractors.

• Work collaboratively across projects and the organization to foresee and address delivery challenges.

• Establish a delivery environment founded on mutual trust between government partners and Nava teams.

• Scale initiatives through project managers and functional delivery leads.

• Manage contracts and financial portfolios alongside the finance team and oversee contract modifications.

• Set and maintain standards for delivery excellence and client service.

• Implement Nava policies and guidelines at the program level.

• Contribute to the formulation and achievement of company objectives and key results.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience managing delivery outcomes and client relationships for large-scale projects.

• Experience with custom software or cloud infrastructure programs/projects.

• Familiarity with working alongside or for state government agencies.

• Strong understanding of government contracting, compliance, and audit processes.

• Proven experience in leading and expanding agile development teams while managing projects at scale.

• Background in steering large-scale, complex projects that involve milestones, dependencies, integrations, risks, uncertainties, or scalability.

• Proficiency in agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.

• Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.

• Ability to solve complex problems across diverse organizations, processes, cultures, and technologies.

• Strategic mindset towards delivery planning and contract management.

• Iterative execution methodology that emphasizes swift team progress.

• Capability to maintain comprehensive situational awareness beyond the immediate team.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Ability to meet other requirements pertinent to applicable government contracts.

• Work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• May need to undergo a government background check or security clearance based on the contract.
