This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Direct the implementation of engineering tools, automation, and AI capabilities throughout Agilent’s R&D organization.
• Conduct internal voice-of-customer initiatives with engineering teams from various divisions.
• Convert stakeholder insights into deployment strategies, priorities, and business cases.
• Manage the complete architecture implementation and AI capability deployment programs from pilot stages to full implementation.
• Facilitate the systematization of tools and pilots into repeatable, governed capabilities across different divisions.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering operations, and divisional leaders on rollout logistics, training, and change management.
• Monitor post-deployment adoption and make necessary adjustments to programs.
• Spearhead cross-divisional automation initiatives, coordinating with the China Innovation Center.
• Develop and oversee program plans, governance schedules, status reporting, risk management, dependencies, resources, and timelines.
• Maintain program coordination across time zones with the China Innovation Center.
• Provide updates on program health and key decisions to the CTO office and senior stakeholders.
• Travel 25% of the time.
• Over 10 years of program or project management experience in a hardware/instrument R&D setting.
• Proven experience in deploying tools, processes, or capabilities across engineering teams.
• A background in systems engineering or practical experience within a systems engineering process is highly preferred.
• Experience in conducting voice-of-customer or internal stakeholder research and translating findings into actionable plans.
• Strongly preferred experience with engineering tool rollouts, digital transformation, or initiatives focused on AI/automation adoption.
• Experience managing cross-divisional or multi-site programs, ideally including collaboration with offshore or globally distributed engineering teams.
• Solid fundamentals in program and portfolio management: scope, schedule, risk, and stakeholder management.
• Comfortable operating within a technical environment and engaging in credible discussions with engineering leads regarding systems-level and architecture workflows.
• Proficient in conducting voice-of-customer processes and transforming qualitative feedback into structured action plans.
• Capability to establish structure and processes without hindering team efficiency, tailored for an engineering audience.
• Strong cross-functional influence and communication skills, able to align divisional and hub stakeholders without direct authority.
