This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +7 more states.
β’ Supervise and oversee all facets of the organization's fuel management program
β’ Create and uphold fuel management policies, procedures, internal controls, and measures to prevent fraud
β’ Oversee fuel procurement, fueling strategies, and fuel usage by location and route
β’ Manage the distribution, tracking, monitoring, and cancellation of fuel cards
β’ Review and audit fuel transactions to detect errors, misuse, irregular activities, and potential fraud
β’ Generate and evaluate reports on fuel expenses, usage, consumption, and efficiency
β’ Reconcile fuel transactions and ensure the accuracy of fuel-related expenditures
β’ Design and maintain dashboards and KPIs for fuel management
β’ Evaluate fleet and truck-specific fuel efficiency and suggest enhancements
β’ Examine fuel pricing, usage, and operational data to uncover cost-saving opportunities
β’ Formulate financial models and recommendations for fuel tanks, fueling infrastructure, and other fuel-related investments
β’ Monitor fuel budgets, forecasts, and spending, identifying significant variances
β’ Collaborate with Operations, Fleet, Accounting, and Finance to address fuel-related challenges and enhance processes
β’ Offer fuel analysis and strategic recommendations to the Vice President of Finance and senior management
β’ Prioritize and manage various fuel management projects and initiatives
β’ Occasionally travel as required
β’ Carry out other responsibilities as assigned
β’ Must reside in or near Kansas City, KS, Las Vegas, NV, Denver, CO, Bismarck, ND, Dallas, TX, Houston, TX, San Antonio, TX, Omaha, NE, Phoenix, AZ, or Salt Lake City, UT
β’ Comprehensive knowledge of fuel management, fleet operations, fuel procurement, and cost control
β’ Strong grasp of internal controls, transaction auditing, and fraud prevention
β’ Exceptional analytical and financial modeling abilities with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools
β’ Preferred experience with fuel management, fleet management, or ERP systems
β’ Capacity to analyze trends and develop recommendations based on data
β’ Ability to autonomously manage the comprehensive fuel management program of the organization
β’ Preferred knowledge of fuel industry trends, pricing, and practices related to fleet fuel efficiency
β’ Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse personalities and departments
β’ Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication, analytical, and decision-making abilities
β’ Willingness to work irregular hours when necessary
β’ Occasional travel to company locations or fueling facilities may be necessary
