This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Lead the strategic development of the supply network and manage costs for Anduril’s Counter Intrusion product line throughout its lifecycle.
• Work collaboratively with suppliers and cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and manufacturing.
• Execute supplier selection using the authorized supplier list.
• Collaborate with key suppliers on concept exploration, feature trade-offs, should-cost/clean-sheet modeling, joint design development, and mechanical/electronics design simulations.
• Drive the creation and integration of the manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Assist in the internal and supplier production ramp-up.
• Oversee capital expenditure (CAPEX) throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
• Perform value-stream mapping to enhance supply network lead time and flexibility.
• Conduct BOM risk evaluations and source alternative components.
• Ensure that component qualifications are finalized prior to production commencement.
• Optimize component commonality and rationalize suppliers.
• Lead cost-engineering initiatives to align bottom-up estimates with product costs and enhance total cost of ownership.
• Manage tariffs, import/export expenses, and issues related to cost inflation.
• A Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, or a related technical field.
• Over 6 years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or the design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
• Expertise in value/procurement engineering or total cost of ownership (TCO)-related work at both the component and product levels.
• Willingness to travel 30%–40% of the time, depending on program requirements.
• Preference for onsite work at an Anduril office; remote work is available in Massachusetts.
• A Master’s degree or advanced technical degree in mechanical engineering is preferred.
• Additional experience in the design and development of electronics and/or mechanical devices is preferred.
• Advanced experience in sourcing activities, including roles as commodity or sourcing managers, is preferred.
• Supplier development experience is preferred.
• Early engagement with suppliers before product/engineering requirements are realized is preferred.
• Familiarity with developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume setting is preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced startup environment is preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance is preferred.
