Senior Product Owner / Scrum Master

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish and communicate the vision and roadmap for the product

• Take ownership of the product backlog, craft user stories, define acceptance criteria, and refine tasks

• Prioritize project scope, budget, timelines, customer value, objectives, and defect resolution

• Organize product releases and schedule benchmarks and upgrades in line with customer approval processes

• Lead and mentor Scrum teams towards self-organization and cross-functionality

• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives

• Identify and eliminate obstacles to sprint and release goals

• Coach development teams and stakeholders on Agile principles and methodologies

• Act as the main point of contact between delivery teams and stakeholders

• Monitor and report on progress, velocity, and other significant metrics

• Contribute to the scaling of Agile practices throughout the program

• Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives and follow-up on agreed actions

• Lead delivery teams in infrastructure modernization, data engineering, and application development

• Collaborate with PMO colleagues and leadership regarding status, issues, risks, decisions, and change requests

• Regularly engage with customer stakeholders, including engineers, technical project managers, and executives

• Participate in onboarding, compliance training, learning assignments, and meetings

⛳️ Requirements

• Residing in the United States and authorized to work there for the entire duration of the engagement

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

• Experience with SAFe, including certification and application across at least two or three programs

• Comprehensive understanding of Agile principles, values, and the Scrum framework

• Proven track record of effectively facilitating Scrum ceremonies and managing a product backlog

• Prior experience as a Product Owner through all phases of the product life cycle

• Ability to articulate and communicate product vision and convert stakeholder needs into user stories and acceptance criteria

• Experience in identifying and removing barriers to team progress

• Strong coaching and mentoring abilities

• Exceptional communication, presentation, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams

• At least seven years of experience in a technical, engineering, or software development setting

• Minimum of three years managing IT deployment projects

• Experience leading a team of engineers

• Experience delivering projects in large or complex enterprise environments

• Comfort working within governance, compliance, and approval processes

• Excellent organizational, time-management, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, and Smartsheet

• Positive attitude towards change and adaptability

• IT consulting experience

• Project management certification such as PMP

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)

• Experience delivering and managing projects on Google Cloud or other major public cloud platforms

• Business systems analysis certification or relevant experience

• Experience with Kanban or Lean methodologies

• Experience scaling Agile using LeSS or Nexus frameworks

• Experience managing distributed teams

• Experience conducting training sessions and workshops
