Manager, Scrum Master

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Execute and facilitate Scrum events, eliminate obstacles, encourage collaboration, assist Product Owners, and promote continuous improvement across Agile teams.

• Mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Agile teams on Agile principles, Scrum values, and best practices for delivery.

• Steer teams towards self-organization, cross-functionality, accountability, and ongoing improvement.

• Advocate for adaptability, transparency, collaboration, and experimentation.

• Organize and oversee daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement meetings.

• Shield teams from external interruptions, scope creep, and conflicting priorities during sprint execution.

• Assess attainable work within project timelines based on team capacity, velocity, and past performance.

• Predict team capacity and delivery potential for upcoming initiatives.

• Collaborate with Product Owners on backlog management, prioritization, user story refinement, and product roadmap execution.

• Harmonize product objectives, business goals, and customer requirements across teams.

• Foster communication and collaboration among cross-functional stakeholders.

• Ensure risk assessments encompass identification, mitigation strategies, and contingency planning.

• Establish and uphold Scrum processes and procedures.

• Identify bottlenecks and workflow inefficiencies, enhancing team effectiveness and delivery results.

• Utilize metrics and Agile best practices for continuous improvement and operational excellence.

• Formulate budget and resource-planning strategies.

• Assist in Agile work planning and execution across multiple teams and initiatives.

• Ensure efficient resource allocation to fulfill delivery commitments and business objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in Agile delivery, Scrum Master, Agile Coach, project management, or similar roles.

• Proven experience leading and mentoring Agile teams in complex environments.

• Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Established capability to remove obstacles, resolve conflicts, and enhance team dynamics.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Teamwork and collaboration skills.

• Growth mindset skills, including agility and personal development for yourself and others.

• Strong execution and delivery skills, encompassing planning, executing, and supporting.

• Preferred certifications include Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Agilist, or equivalent Agile certification.

• Experience in managing or mentoring Scrum Masters and Agile practitioners.

• Familiarity with Agile planning tools and delivery metrics.

• Robust understanding of Agile frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, and scaled Agile methodologies.

• Bachelor's degree preferred and/or specialized training, Agile certification, or relevant professional qualification.
